Check out what we’ve been up to while you were away.
KINGS POINT ACTIVITY TRAILS
Kings Point residents and their guests now have exclusive access to explore about 200 acres of former ClubLink golf course land in the heart of the community. Take a walk, grab your bike or hop in your golf cart and follow miles of paved trails dotted with lush trees, well-manicured neighborhoods and over a dozen ponds that are home to some of Florida’s most unique wildlife. Residents can even take their pet out for a nice walk on the trails. To learn more about the trails click here.
VETERANS THEATER BACKSTAGE RENOVATIONS
The backstage area of the Veterans Theater in the Main Clubhouse received a little TLC over the summer. Residents will notice new flooring, new vanity counter tops in the dressing rooms and a fresh coat of paint. The Veterans Theater is a multi-purpose venue that hosts everything from concerts to club dances, move nights, banquets and large meetings.
GOLF CART PATH
The golf cart path that offers a convenient way for Kings Point residents to navigate to Winn-Dixie and other local retail shops and eateries was widened and given a fresh new layer of seal coating. The cart path is now wide enough to accommodate two carts moving in opposite directions to pass each other without yielding to oncoming traffic. The wider path now has two monitored gate arms to provide additional security measures for those exiting and entering the community.
Residents can ride in style in our new 18 passenger tram. The tram was wrapped to match the branding colors and themes created by the marketing committee. The wrap provides a web address so passerby’s can learn more about the community online.
NEW GATE SECURITY PATROL CAR
The Kings Point Security team acquired a new patrol vehicle over the summer. The new patrol car allows our security staff to travel the over 60 miles of private roads behind the gates day and night to respond to security issues.
KPCH GAZEBO REMODEL
The KPCH Gazebo is a resident favorite for poolside parties and grilling. Residents will notice a new layout as the counter space and sink was relocated from the center of the gazebo to the edge to allow for a better flow for guests to eat and mingle inside. Along with new cabinets and countertop, painted ceilings and floor and an updated exterior, this structure now includes a new grill. It’s a perfect space for parties, barbecues and cookouts.
2020 FITNESS CENTER ADDITIONS
The 2020 Centre has acquired a few new pieces of equipment to better serve residents. An additional NuStep T5 was installed and individual cable TVs were installed at all 4 NuStep units. A SciFit Hand Crank is now located just outside the Fitness Director’s office. This new machine will allow users to get an upper body workout without using any lower extremities. A Stretch Station apparatus has been added to help you stretch safely. Schedule an appointment with the fitness staff today 813-302-7021.
